Sometimes just a small cup of cold water can mean everything... far more than just quenching thirst on a hot day. Proverbs says that good news from far away can be like cold water to the thirsty. Maybe you need good news or a refreshing cup of water today. Or maybe today you’re rested and satisfied—and it’s your turn to encourage someone else with a good word or an act of kindness.
There’s another verse in Proverbs that says this: the generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. Won’t you be generous today with the Grace that God has given you?
Each one of us can demonstrate God’s grace by acting graciously and with kindness to those whom God puts in our path. Give a cup of water, share your smile, and let others discover the Living Water you already have.
